MULTY HOME MAKES DONATION FOR DEDICATED X-RAY SUITE AT

NORTH YORK GENERAL HOSPITAL

VAUGHAN, ONTARIO (February 25, 2021)  Multy Home announced a gift to North York General Hospital to support the construction of an X-ray Suite in the Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency.

“At Multy Home, we consider it a privilege to give back to our community.  We have been so inspired by the incredible work and care at North York, so, on behalf of Multy’s employees, thank you to the staff and health care providers at North York General Hospital. Thank you also to my team at Multy Home, who also work very hard to make our company successful, to make contributions, like these, possible” says Multy Home President, Derek Erdman.

Dedicating an X-ray Suite in the Emergency Department will shorten wait times for patients, particularly those at risk - children and the elderly.

"X-ray is one of North York General's most frequently used tools, " says North York General Hospital Foundation President Terry Pursell.  "Outside of broken bones, it can help diagnose and treat patients with chronic conditions such as emphysema or cystic fibrosis and even detect life-changing blood clots and cancer.  The dedicated X-ray initiative was powered and made possible by philanthropy and we are very grateful to Multy Home as the single largest contributor.”

A dedicated X-ray Suite will create better patient flow and limit disruptions as patients will no longer have to be shuttled across the hospital to compete with scheduled X-rays and inpatients.

The planned opening for the new X-ray Suite is Spring 2021.
